Specification for printing company logo

Please read the delivery specifications and explanation for the artwork of business orders below:

Vector file
For the best print result of business printing, we need a graphic image, also called a vector file.
Vector graphics are infinitely scalable images without the use of pixels. In simpler terms, you can make a vector graphic as large or small as you want without losing any quality. This makes pad printing possible with no loss of sharpness. So to ensure smooth sailing, please provide a vector file in EPS or AI in our business webshop.

In contrast, raster graphics are made from pixels and are not scalable as a vector image. Examples of common file formats include JPG, PNG, BMP and GIF. Please note, saving a raster file as EPS or AI does not make it a vector file. A raster file can be converted to a graphic image by a designer. Dopper does not offer this service.

Outlining fonts
Before sending files to print, it is important to convert all fonts to outlines. Outlining fonts in your files will ensure that the font’s appearance is preserved when your files are sent to print as it converts the font into artwork.

If your artwork contains texts, letters or characters, it's important that these are also converted into a graphic image. This can be done by font outlines. Outlining fonts in your files will ensure that the appearance of the text is preserved when your files are sent to print as it converts the font into artwork without the loss of fonts.

If artwork is not provided with font outlines, an artwork adjustment or font may be requested. This can cause a delay in the printing process, so we recommend you to deliver the artwork correctly right from the start.

Expand object

Make sure to expand objects in your image or logo. Without expansion things like patterns, gradients, strokes, blends and flares might not scale in the correct way.

Printing colors
We work based on the PMS color system. As these colour codes are known worldwide, we can provide the correct colour printing based on this system.

Also make sure that the artwork is made in PMS Solid Coated. If artwork is not supplied in PMS Solid Coated, we will determine the approximate PMS Solid Coated color. Please note, this may cause a shade difference.
