How do I care for and clean my Dopper products?
Like every relationship, your Dopper product sometimes needs some care. Read the golden tips for a happily ever after.
Before use
Before using your Dopper for the first time, briefly rinse it with warm water (not hotter than 65°C).
Some quick facts:
- Dopper products cannot withstand temperatures below -10°C or above 65°C.
- Dopper products are not suitable for use in the freezer or microwave.
- If you're not using your Dopper for a while, store it without the cup, cap or ring attached. Bacteria love enclosed spaces.
- To prevent leaks, make sure the threads of the cup are dry after filling. Alternatively, fill it through the drinking opening at the top.
- In rare situations, your Dopper may leak. For example during air travel, because of pressure changes, a damaged part or incorrect assembly. To be safe, avoid storing it alongside valuables.
- Don't tighten the cap more than necessary. Over-tightening can make it difficult to remove.

Cleaning your Dopper product
We recommend washing your Dopper product after every use. Bacteria move in faster than you’d think, especially if you use your Dopper for more than water.
Daily care
All Dopper products are dishwasher safe up to 65°C.
For the best result:
-
Take your Dopper product apart before cleaning (Not sure how to disassemble your Travel Mug? Find it here)
-
Place all parts separately in the dishwasher.
- Keep parts away from strongly stained food leftovers, like tomato sauce, to avoid discolouration.
- Place the Dopper Sports Cap and Flip Straw in the cutlery rack, so it doesn’t travel through the dishwasher unsupervised.
- Let all parts dry completely before reassembling.
- Store your product open when not in use for longer periods.
Prefer washing by hand? Use warm water and mild dish soap.
Stainless steel parts can become hot after a dishwasher cycle or after washing in warm water. Handle with care.
Do not use abrasives, solvents, bleach and/or other chemical cleaners to clean your Dopper products. These can leave a chemical taste.
Deep cleaning
If your Dopper has picked up smells, stains or leftover tastes, give it a deeper clean.
For smells, stains and taste:
- soak parts in baking soda
- rinse with natural vinegar
- fill bottle body or mug with hot water for 30 minutes
- let every part dry completely before reassembling
