NetZero in 2030
Why NetZero?
At Dopper, achieving CarbonNeutral® certification is just the beginning! We have striven to minimize our carbon emissions and offset what is left. But guess what? We do not stop there. As our business expands, so do our ambitions, and that is why we are on a mission to achieve NetZero by 2030. This means we are not just balancing CO2 emissions; we’re tackling all greenhouse gases across our operations. From production to transport and everything in between, our goal is eliminating the need for carbon offsets entirely.
Our progress and commitment:
Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our certifications. As a Certified B Corporation, we commit to top-notch social and environmental standards, with each recertification pushing us to raise the bar higher. And our CarbonNeutral® certification is our promise to you and the planet to go beyond just reduction and truly neutralize our emissions. These certifications are not just badges, they are our commitment to making every step count towards a more sustainable planet.
Our sustainable measures
1. Good Shipping Program- Say hello to shipping with a conscience! Our sea transportation is powered by biofuel, which hugely cuts down carbon emissions. Since 2017, GoodShipping has took the lead in making shipping more sustainable.
- Our head office, the Oceans Building, is heated and cooled by WKO that significantly reduces emissions. Talk about being eco-friendly from the inside out.
- To tackle last-mile emissions and embrace our Dutch roots, we have rolled out a bicycle delivery service for web shop orders in 60 cities across the Netherlands.
- Every Dopper bottle and accessory carries the Cradle to Cradle Certified® mark, a global gold standard in eco-friendly production. In fact, as of 2023, our Dopper Original collection became the first reusable bottle in the world to earn Cradle to Cradle Gold status.
- We are committed to using recycled and renewable materials in our products as much as possible. Our Dopper Original bottles are made with 100% plant-based waste materials for the body and cap. Our Dopper Steel and Insulated bottles use 90% recycled steel, while the cups for all our bottles are a mix of 50% recycled plastic and 50% virgin plastic.
- Set to be expanded by 2025, our green purchasing policy focuses on climate-neutral suppliers to reduce upstream emissions.
- We want to make commuting and business travel greener. That is why we are encouraging employees to take public transport and/or bike. In fact, over half of our team’s commuting miles are already emission-free.
- In 2024, we created a Digital Product Passport for every Dopper bottle and accessory. It is a first in the industry and enables everyone to track a Dopper product’s lifecycle: from start to end-of-life.
